Inter eye up Paris Saint-Germain winger as Perisic replacement

Inter have earmarked Paris Saint-Germain winger Angel Di Maria as a potential replacement for Ivan Perisic, reports Sky Sport Italia, via Football Italia.

Manchester United are currently in talks with Inter to sign Perisic and the Serie A side are keen to use the money generated from his departure to help revamp their squad.

Inter have already been linked with a move for Federico Bernardeschi and Domenico Berardi but there is also talk that they could look to use Perisic as a makeweight to lure Di Maria away from PSG.

Unai Emery’s side have also been credited with an interest in the Croatia international but the 28-year-old does seem destined to join United at this stage.

Di Maria has struggled for consistency in the three years since he left Real Madrid for a then British club-transfer record to sign for United. The Argentina international only lasted a season at Old Trafford before moving to PSG, where he has also failed to deliver consistent performances in France.

Despite receiving mixed reviews for his performances at PSG, the 29-year-old has provided at least five more assists than any other player in the last two Ligue 1 campaigns (25).
