Paris Saint-Germain will turn to Inter captain Mauro Icardi should they decide to cash in on Edinson Cavani in the summer, according to Sport Mediaset.
Cavani, 28, has dropped down the pecking order at the Ligue 1 champions this season after reportedly falling out with head coach Laurent Blanc and some of the players.
Inter’s owner Erick Thohir was in attendance to watch PSG’s 2-1 win over Chelsea in the Champions League on Tuesday evening and Sport Mediaset claim talks have already been put in motion regarding Icardi’s possible switch.
Icardi has also encountered some problems with management this season, but since the start of last season only Gonzalo Higuain (42) has scored more goals than the Argentinean frontman in Serie A (32).
