Chelsea star set for cross-London switch next month

Crystal Palace are planning a January swoop for former fan favourite Victor Moses, The Mirror reports.

The Nigerian international has fallen out of favour under Maurizio Sarri having reverted to a back four and the 28-year-old is believed to be keen on a move next month in search for regular first team football.

Moses became an unlikely first choice right wing-back under ex-Blues boss Antonio Conte but would no doubt favour a return to a more familiar attacking position, and it’s one he could be offered back at Selhurst Park.

The former Palace graduate made 34 appearances (29 starts) as Chelsea won the title in 2016/17 and a further 28 the following season but has been restricted to just two substitute appearances in the Premier League this campaign.

Roy Hodgson is keen to bolster his attacking options and is set to make a move for the winger when the transfer window re-opens, with a bid of £12m believed to be in the offing.

Should he make the move across London, Moses would likely line up in a front three alongside old clubmate Wilfried Zaha and Andros Townsend, though a switch would no doubt reignite rumours of an exit for the former, who has long been linked with a transfer to Tottenham.
