Arsenal increasingly confident of landing winger on a free
Arsenal believe they are leading the race to sign Ryan Fraser from Bournemouth when his contract expires, reports TEAMtalk.
The Scotland international becomes a free agent on July 1st, though the current Coronavirus outbreak may delay any Cherries exit.
However, while Fraser has a lengthy list of admirers, the winger is a long-term target for the Gunners as head coach Mikel Arteta seeks to add another winger to his squad.
The 26-year-old has struggled to match his impressive return from the 2018/19 campaign, which saw him held in such high regard by interested parties, yet teams are still lining up to secure his services.
Fraser, though, has admitted that reports of a move to Arsenal impacted his performances this season, stating: "Maybe it hasn’t helped. Subconsciously, you might think about it. I’m just trying to get on with my work. Every player says that."
Indeed, the Scot has scored just one goal and registered four assists this season, a far cry on his seven goals and 14 assists the previous campaign.
The Gunners don't have a huge budget to maximise this summer due to a lack of Champions League action, so as a free agent, Fraser fits the bill for Arsenal.
