Alexis Sanchez wants to call time on his Manchester United career after 12 months, claims The Daily Mirror.
United fended off competition from rivals Manchester City to sign Sanchez from Arsenal in a shock deal at the start of the year.
Sanchez penned a four-and-a-half-year contract worth a reported £500,000-a-week and was awarded United’s fabled No.7 shirt.
However, Sanchez’s move has proved nothing but a disaster and the 29-year-old is already desperate to quit Jose Mourinho’s side.
Sanchez has grown disillusioned after losing his place in the United starting XI and Mourinho’s public criticism this season.
There are few European sides that could accommodate Sanchez on his enormous wages but the former Arsenal star is keen to join Paris Saint-Germain.
The Ligue 1 champions are already well stocked in attacking positions with Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani holding down starting berths.
Thomas Tuchel’s side signed Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting from Stoke in the summer as back up and it remains to be seen whether there is space of finances available to give Sanchez his wish.
Sanchez has only scored six goals and provided four assists in 26 appearances in all competitions for United since making his debut in an FA Cup clash against Yeovil at the end of January.
Since making his United bow, Sanchez has created at least 27 more goalscoring opportunities than any other team-mate (60).
