Wolfsburg are poised to sign Napoli striker Manolo Gabbiadini in a deal worth €20m (£17m), reports Corriere dello Sport, via Get German Football.
Gabbiadini, 25, has been heavily linked with a move away from Napoli in the last two seasons having failed to establishing himself in the first team.
Everton have regularly been linked with the Italy international but Wolfsburg, who have money to spend next month following Julian Draxler’s high profile move to Paris Saint-Germain, appear to have won the race for his signature.
The arrival of Genoa striker Leonardo Pavoletti next month has all but resigned Gabbiadini to the fact his future is away from Naples, with Wolfsburg set to be the beneficiaries.
In the last two Serie A campaigns only four players have been subbed on more times than Gabbiadini (24).
