Gary Neville reveals the best player he has coached

 

Newly instated Valencia head coach Gary Neville has revealed Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is the best player he has coached.

 

Neville, 40, was appointed Valencia boss until the end of the season earlier in the week, but his new role with not impact his coaching with England ahead of the European Championships next summer.

 

Speaking to Football Beyond Border’s at a fundraising event, the former Manchester United captain revealed who enjoyed coaching the most.

 

“I’ve only ever been a coach with England over the last three-and-a-half years, and I’ve enjoyed coaching a lot of the players,” Neville told FBB.

 

"If I had to pick one I’d pick Jack Wilshere, because he’s a challenge."

Wilshere, 23, has seen his short career plagued with numerous long-term foot injuries and he is still yet to appear for Arsenal this season.

 

In fact, the England international has featured in less than half of Arsenal’s league games (42.2%) since the start of the 2013/14 campaign due to injury.
