Manuel Lanzini has been ruled out for another month after suffering a setback in his recovery from a knee injury, claims The Daily Mail.
The Argentina international has only managed 45 minutes of Premier League action this season and now isn’t expected back until after the international break at the start of October.
Lanzini is struggling to make progress in his recovery from a knee injury and news of this setback is a further blow to an underfire Slaven Bilic.
West Ham have made a poor start to the season and Bilic is a contender to be the next Premier League manager to lose their job.
Lanzini established himself as West Ham’s best player in the wake of Dimitri Payet’s departure at the start of the year and the Hammers could really do with his creative influence in the attacking third, particularly in bringing the best out of summer signing Javier Hernandez.
Despite missing almost all of the season, only a handful of Premier League players have won possession in the attacking third more times in 2017 than Lanzini (17).
