Leicester star left out of England euro squad

Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater has been omitted from Roy Hodgson’s final 23-man squad for the European Championships next month.

Drinkwater, 26, has been in sublime form for Leicester this season and had forced his way into the England reckoning.

The former Manchester United midfielder had been touted as a potential starter for Hodgson this summer but has been cut for the final 23-man squad alongside Fabian Delph and Andros Townsend.
