Griezmann refuses to rule out France return

Antoine Griezmann is happy with life at Atletico Madrid but has refused to rule out a return to France.

The 24-year-old has been transformed into the lead man for Atletico since making the move from Real Sociedad in the summer of 2014, but has regularly been mooted with a big-money move away.

Chelsea have been regularly linked with the France international, but the versatile forward insists he has no intentions of leaving Atletico, although a return to his homeland could be on the cards in the future.

“For the moment, in terms of my career plan, it is to try to go as far as possible in the Champions League and to win the Euros,” Griezmann told RMC, via Get French Football.

“I am only thinking about that and I do not want to leave [Atletico]. Joining a team in France? Maybe, you never know in football. But this is not something that is on the agenda at the moment.”

Since August 2013, only Lionel Messi (92) and Cristiano Ronaldo (106) have scored more goals in La Liga than Griezmann (53).
