AC Milan have confirmed the arrival of Lille striker Rafael Leao in a deal worth a reported €35m (£31.6m).
The Serie A giants have fended off interest from a number of European rivals to land Leao, who has put pen to paper on a five-year deal until the summer of 2024.
Marco Giampaolo’s side are in the process of overhauling their offensive options, with the likes of Andre Silva and Suso expected to join Patrick Cutrone in leaving.
Former Sporting striker Leao reportedly turned down Manchester City to join Lille 12 months ago and has secured a high profile move after just one season in France.
Leao finished his maiden campaign with Lille with eight goals and three assists in 24 league appearances.
Lille will bank in excess of £100m in player sales this summer with Nicolas Pepe on the brink of joining Arsenal in a deal worth £72m.
