Brazil international makes come and get me plea to Manchester United

Brazil international Everton has sensationally suggested he wants to play for Manchester United.

Everton came off the bench to score in Brazils 3-0 win over Bolivia on Friday night in the opening game of this year’s Copa America.

The Gremio forward is focussed on helping Brazil win the tournament in front of their own supporters but is hoping to use it as a springboard to sign for a European club.

Everton has previously been linked with a Premier League move and the 23-year-old name dropped United as a potential destination this summer.

“I’m a player that’s always trying to get on top [of the opposition],” he told The Daily Mail after Brazil beat Bolivia. “Cutting in from the left with dribbles and good finishes.

"Clubs in Europe have this style of play too and maybe I can fit in at Manchester United and others.”

Everton has a £71m release clause in his current Gremio contract but it has previously been reported a fee of around £30m would be enough to sign the talented forward.

Since the beginning of last season, Everton has played a direct hand in 16 goals in 33 league appearances (13 goals, three assists).

Moreover, only Patrick (112) has completed more dribbles than Everton (100) in the Brasileirao in that time.
