Tottenham have announced Nabil Bentaleb has undergone surgery on his left knee and will be out of action for approximately six weeks.
Bentaleb, 21, has struggled for form and fitness this season and has spent nearly the whole season as a bi-product to Spurs’ success.
The Algeria international is now unlikely to return before the end of the season to help Spurs with their title challenge.
Bentaleb impressed under Mauricio Pochettino last season but has been limited to just 168 minutes of action in the league this season.
