Leicester will make a £20m offer to Burnley in January in a bid to finally secure the services of Michael Keane, according to The Sun.
Keane has been sensational form for newly promoted Burnley this season and has already attracted reported interest from Antonio Conte’s Chelsea.
The 23-year-old’s impressive performances at the heart of Burnley’s defence has even earned him recognition with Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the first time in his career and Leicester are determined to land the defender having missed out in the summer.
Claudio Ranieri’s side failed with a £15m bid for the Burnley defender in the summer but the Foxes want to add Keane to their squad in the new year in order to bolster their chances in the Champions League, with qualification to the knockout phase all but secured.
Keane, who progressed through Manchester United’s academy before being sold to Burnley in January 2015, has completed at least 10 more headed clearances than any other player in the Premier League this season (78).
