Newcastle have confirmed the arrival of Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson in a deal worth £20m.
Wilson has put pen to paper on a four-year deal running until the summer of 2024 with the Magpies.
Bournemouth have reluctantly been forced to cash in on the 28-year-old after being relegated to the Championship last season.
Aston Villa were also keen on signing the England international but pulled out of the race after Wilson made it clear he wanted to join Newcastle.
Villa even out-bid Newcastle by £1m before Wilson flew up to Newcastle for his medical over the weekend on Mike Ashley's private helicopter.

Wilson's is one of three new faces set to join Newcastle before the Premier League season starts on Saturday.
Newcastle are also in the process of wrapping up deals to sign former Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser on a free transfer and Norwich left-back Jamal Lewis.
Bruce will hope to get Wilson and Fraser back to their best after the duo struck up an incredible understanding during the 2018/19 campaign, directly combining to score more goals than any other duo in the Premier League (12).
