The agent of Marek Hamsik has revealed the Napoli midfielder turned down lucrative offers from China in January.
The likes of Ramires, Jackson Martinez and Ezequiel Lavezzi have already made the move to China since the turn of the year and it has now emerged the fastest emerging league in the world also had Hamsik in their sights as well.
However, Hamsik’s agent has revealed it never came into consideration to accept the offer, with the midfielder completely committed to Napoli, where he has been since 2007.
“I can confirm we received massive offers from China for Marek, but we didn’t even take them into consideration,” his agent Venglos told Slovak Radio, via FourFourTwo.
“Hamsik is very famous in the Chinese market and it’s only normal their clubs offer a great deal to convince him into a transfer. However, Hamsik is concentrated on Napoli and wants to win the Scudetto with their jersey.”
No player has created more chances in Serie A this season than Hamsik (59).
