Bayern rule out move for superstar striker

Bayern Munich have ruled out a possible move for Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo as they deem the Portuguese star to be 'too old', reports The Sun.

Reports in January had linked Ronaldo with a move to the German powerhouse, yet any move, as one might expect, failed to come to fruition.

Juventus are reluctant to allow Ronaldo to leave for any price given his rich vein of goalscoring form at present.

Indeed, the Portugal international has now scored in 10 straight Serie A matches, a record run for Juventus.

Bayern are looking to bring in at least one new forward sooner rather than later after both Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben left for Fiorentina and retired, respectively.

Leroy Sane remains top of Bayern's wishlist, but when asked about the possibility of landing Ronaldo at a fan event, club president Herbert Hainer said: "Of course there are many names in the press, which is understandable. But Ronaldo should be a bit too old for us."

Ronaldo turned 35 last week as he netted his 20th league goal of the season in Saturday's 2-1 loss at Verona.
