Sevilla have announced they have re-signed Ever Banega from Inter just 12 months after losing the midfielder to the Italian giants on a free transfer.
Banega struggled to establish himself as a first-team regular for Inter last season, although he was not helped by the fact Inter had four different managers throughout the course of the campaign.
However, new Inter boss Luciano Spalletti has given Inter the greenlight to cash in on Banega, who has now penned a three-year deal with the Spanish side after completing a reported €9m (£7.9m) deal.
Former Sevilla manager Unai Emery was keen to reunite with Banega at Paris Saint-Germain this summer but the Argentina international has snubbed his former boss in favour of a move back to Spain.
The 28-year-old made 28 appearances in Serie A last season and finished the campaign with six goals and six assists. Only Antonio Candreva (83) and Ivan Perisic (62) registered more key passes for Inter in the league last season than Banega (59).
