West Ham forward Arnautovic set to secure lucrative China move

Marko Arnautovic will leave West Ham to join Shanghai SIPG in a deal worth at least £35m, claims The Sun.

The Hammers received an offer from an unnamed Chinese club at the end of last week, which has unsettled Arnautovic.

The Austria international, who was linked with a move to Manchester United last summer, is now keen to cash-in on a lucrative move to China.

West Ham issued a statement last week insisting Arnautovic must honour his contract but are now set to sell their star man.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side will likely never receive a bid as big for the 29-year-old and have reportedly earmarked Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson as his replacement.

It has now been revealed that Shanghai SIPG are the side chasing Arnautovic’s signature and the Chinese side already have the likes of Oscar and Hulk on their books.

Since joining West Ham in a club-record deal in the summer of 2017, Arnautovic has scored at least six more Premier League goals than any other team-mate (18).
