Four clubs battling for Liverpool starlet

Rangers, Aston Villa and Leeds have joined Hull in the race to sign Liverpool starlet Harry Wilson on loan for next season, claims the Hull Daily Mail.

Wilson’s stock has risen tremendously in the last five months after enjoying a sublime loan stint with Hull for the second half of the Championship season.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is willing to let Wilson continue his development elsewhere next season, but Hull face stiff competition to retain his services.

Former Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard wants to take Wilson to Rangers this summer, while Aston Villa and Leeds are also interested in the Wales international.

Villa face Fulham in the Championship play-off final next weekend and could steal a march in the race to land the 21-year-old if they can offer Premier League football next term.

Wilson scored seven goals and provided three assists in 13 Championship appearances for Hull this season, securing a WhoScored rating of 7.37 in the process.

In fact, the youngster was involved in a league goal every 99.6 minutes of action for the Tigers.
