Real Madrid plan to include Bale in deal for Manchester United star Pogba

Real Madrid will offer Gareth Bale to Manchester United as part of a potential deal to sign Paul Pogba, claims The Daily Mirror.

Pogba has been earmarked as a top transfer target by Madrid but the La Liga champions are refusing to match United’s £150m valuation.

The France international is keen to leave United for the second time in his career and is even open to re-signing for Juventus.

Madrid have already spent more than £200m on summer signings and are not planning to stop there with Pogba and Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen on their radar.

However, Zinedine Zidane’s side need to balance their books and are struggling to find suitors for outcast players likes of James Rodriguez and Bale.

The latter has been heavily linked with a move to United for the last few years and the summer where he is finally available the Red Devils appeared to have cooled their interest.

Nevertheless, Madrid plan to use Bale as a bargaining chip in negotiations with United for Pogba and hope the Welshman can act as a makeweight in a player-plus-cash deal.

Bale has won the Champions League four times since moving to Madrid in 2013 and is not keen on the idea of leaving despite falling out of favour with Zidane.

Since signing for Madrid, Bale has played a direct hand in 144 goals in 195 league and European appearances.
