Tottenham eye cut-price move for relegated Bournemouth ace

Callum Wilson has emerged as a potential transfer target for Tottenham following Bournemouth's relegation from the Premier League, reports The Sun.

Jose Mourinho insists he will not have to sell players before he can make new signings but Tottenham will have to work off a limited budget this summer.

Tottenham secured Europa League football for next season and Mourinho has already earmarked Wilson as a potential transfer target.

The north London outfit have struggled to find suitable support for Harry Kane over the last five years, having previously signed the likes of Roberto Soldado, Fernando Llorente and Vincent Jansen.

However, Mourinho is now interested in taking advantage of Bournemouth's relegation from the Premier League to sign Wilson for a cut-price fee as little as £10m.

Wilson has been linked with £40m moves to Chelsea in the ast but now Bournemouth will reluctantly have to let the 28-year-old go for a fraction of the price.

The Bournemouth ace struggled to rediscover his best form for the Cherries this season and finished the campaign with more yellow cards (10) than goals (8) in the Premier League.

Moreover, Wilson only converted 44.4% of his clear-cut goalscoring chances in the Premier League this season.

In 2018/19, however, Wilson played a direct hand in 23 league goals (14 goals, nine assists) and forced his way into the reckoning with Gareth Southgate's England squad.
