Bayern Munich eye audacious move for Manchester City star

Bayern Munich are ready to hand Leroy Sane with a way out of Manchester City this summer in a blockbuster deal, claims The Daily Record.

Sane, who was crowned the PFA Young Player of the Year last season, has endured a difficult season at City.

The Germany international’s relationship with manager Pep Guardiola has reportedly strained after dropping down the pecking order.

Bernardo Silva’s breathtaking form has forced Sane to accept limited playing time and now Bayern are keen on his signature.

The Bundesliga giants are on the market for long-term replacements for Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery this summer.

Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi is a long-term target for the Bavarians and now it has emerged Sane is also on their radar.

City’s preference is to keep Sane but will listen to offers for the 23-year-old this summer if he does not sign a new contract.

Sane’s current deal only has two years left to run on it and City want to avoid a situation where he could potentially run it down and leave for nothing.

Despite the fact Sane only made 21 starts from his 31 league appearances this season, he still managed to register double figures for goals (10) and assists (10).

Furthermore, when factoring starts alone, only Eden Hazard (7.91) and Raheem Sterling (7.70) had a higher WhoScored rating than Sane (7.69) in the Premier League this season.
