West Ham close in on £8.5m Senegal international

West Ham are poised to make their second signing of the summer by wrapping up a £8.5m deal for long-time target Papa N’Diaye, reports The Daily Mirror.

The Hammers have struggled in the summer transfer window so far and have only managed to sign Manchester City right-back Pablo Zabaleta on a free transfer.

However, Slaven Bilic’s side are now on the verge of adding Osmanlispor midfielder N’Diaye to their ranks, who they hope can be the man to provide goals from midfield.

The Senegal international finished last season’s Turkish Super Lig campaign as the highest rated player for Osmanlispor (7.29) after weighing in with six goals and two assists from central midfield.

Not only that, but he also completed the most tackles (68), most dribbles (73) and also had the most shots (79) of all his teammates last term. In fact, N’Diaye was the only central midfielder that attempted more than 100 dribbles in the Turkish Super Lig last season (105).
