Raiola plunges Pogba’s Manchester United future further into doubt
Mino Raiola has hit out at Paul Scholes’ criticism of Paul Pogba and suggested it would take no time at all to find his client a new club.
Former Manchester United midfielder Scholes lambasted Pogba’s admission his attitude wasn’t right in their 3-2 defeat to Brighton on Sunday.
United have already lost ground in the title race and the scoreline flattered Jose Mourinho’s side, who were completely outfought by the Seagulls.
Pogba’s relationship with Mourinho has strained since the end of last season and the France international has been heavily linked with a summer move away.
Barcelona are monitoring the 25-year-old’s future at Old Trafford and Raiola, responding to Scholes’ comments, insists he could easily find Pogba a new club.
“Some people need to talk for fear of being forgotten. Paul Scholes wouldn’t recognise a leader if he was in front of Sir Winston Churchill,” Raiola said on his official Twitter account.
“Paul Scholes should become sports director and advise Woodward to sell Pogba. Would be sleepless nights to find Pogba a new club.”
Pogba has scored penalties in each of United’s opening two Premier League matches this season.
The Frenchman has also captained United in the absence of Antonio Valencia but it remains to be seen whether Mourinho will hand him the armband on a full-time basis.
Only Glenn Murray (11) has committed more fouls than Pogba (7) in the Premier League this season.
Pogba had attacking midfielder statistics while playing in a midfielder position for Manchester United in 2017-2018 in its league. Pogba was 1st in total assists and 5th in total goals. Pogba was 1st in shots per match and 2nd in dribbles per match. Pogba was 14th in interceptions, 14th in clearances, and 10th in tackles, all per match. Pogba was dribbled by the 6th largest number of times. Will Pogba fit into another club's formation or plans playing this way?
