Tottenham are considering a surprise move for Newcastle flop Florian Thauvin, according to BeIN Sports, via Get French Football.
Thauvin, 23, only made three starts for Newcastle this season before returning to France on loan at Marseille after making no impression following his staggering £15m move last summer.
However, the Frenchman’s performances have reportedly failed to deter interest from Mauricio Pochettino, who was interested in signing Thauvin before Newcastle snapped him up first.
Tottenham are expected to make a number of additions to their squad in the summer as they look to build a squad capable of challenging in the Champions League next season.
Only two players to have started more than one league game this season for Newcastle has garnered a lower WhoScored rating than Thauvin (6.20).
