Relegated Norwich set price tag for Liverpool target Lewis
Norwich have set a price tag of £20m on the head of left-back Jamal Lewis amid interest from Liverpool, claims The Daily Telegraph.
Liverpool's recruitment team have identified Lewis as a potential transfer target, as Jurgen Klopp looks to bring in cover for Andrew Robertson for next season.
The Premier League champions currently have no recognised alternative at left-back and have instead been using James Milner when Robertson is unavailable.
Looking to take advantage of Norwich's relegation from the Premier League, Liverpool earmarked Lewis as a potential £10m signing.
However, Norwich insist they are under no financial pressure to sell anyone this summer after they spent little money during their doomed Premier League campaign.
Represented by the same agency as Robertson and Alexander-Arnold, Liverpool's hopes of a straightforward deal have been dashed by Norwich commanding double what they hoped to pay.
Klopp's side are hopeful that Norwich's interest in their young left-back Yasser Larouci will work in their favour during discussions to reduce Lewis' price.
The Northern Ireland international made 28 Premier League appearances for Norwich this season and impressively completed 78.5% of his attempted tackles despite featuring in the league's worst defence (75 goals conceded).
