Liverpool defender Jon Flanagan is edging closer to signing a new three-year deal, according to The Daily Mirror.
Flanagan, 23, has entered the final few months of his current deal at Anfield and there has been a growing uncertainty whether Jurgen Klopp will push to keep the Liverpool-born right-back.
The England international has only recently returned from a 20-month injury lay off after sustaining a serious knee problem.
Flanagan has only made two appearances this season but it appears he has shown enough in training and in his 151 minutes of action to convince Klopp to extend his stay until 2019.
