Liverpool summer signing ready to make debut for club

Fabinho has revealed he is ready to make his debut for Liverpool after a slow start to life at Anfield.

Liverpool shelled out in the region of £44m to sign Fabinho from Monaco this summer but the Brazil international hasn’t even featured for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Klopp has already revealed the 24-year-old will not play until he is up to speed with the way Liverpool play and likened the situation to Andrew Robertson's 12 months ago.

Robertson endured a similarly slow start to his Liverpool career last season but is now regarded as one of the best full-backs in the league.

Fabinho is the only one of Liverpool’s four summer signings yet to feature this season but the central midfielder insists he is now ready.

“My start has been good, good adaptation,” he told Brazilian outlet Globoesporte, via Sky Sports. “The pre-season was very good, we had nine friendlies and I played nine.

“It was good to play against English teams to see what the rhythm, the intensity and the physique is like. I am adapting to the team’s style of play. The more experienced players have helped me, the technical team as well.

“Me and my wife are liking the city, we already have a home. [Roberto] Firmino is being a great guy, his family has given a good support to me and Alisson.

“It’s been fine. Having Brazilians in the team helps. Now it’s really make the debut. I’m fine, training well and prepared.”

Liverpool have made a 100 per cent start to the new season winning their first four league games to sit joint-top of the Premier League with Chelsea.

James Milner and Georgina Wijnaldum were the most likely candidates to suffer from a lack of playing time since Fabinho and Naby Keita’s arrivals over the summer but both have been immense.
