West Ham weighing up move for former Chelsea defender

West Ham are considering a move for AC Milan centre-back Fikayo Tomori, reports the Daily Mail.

The Hammers are looking to add further bodies at the back, this despite the big money addition of Max Kilman from Wolves.

With reports that Nayef Aguerd is attracting interest from French side Lille following Leny Yoro's departure, West Ham head coach Julen Lopetegui is eyeing up a move for Tomori.

The 26-year-old moved to AC Milan from Chelsea back in 2021 and has enjoyed a memorable spell in Italy so far as he helped the Rossoneri to the title in 2022.

However, the appointment of Paulo Fonseca as AC Milan boss following the departure of Stefano Pioli could spell the end of Tomori's time in Milan with West Ham keen to capitalise.

Tomori came close to signing for West Ham back in 2020 but the defender rejected the chance to move to the east London side minutes before the transfer window closed.

Tomori started 24 times for AC Milan last season as the Serie A powerhouse finished second in Italy's top tier, albeit 19 points behind rivals Inter.
