AC Milan have rejected Chelsea’s £30m bid for centre-back Alessio Romagnoli, according to Sky Sports.
Antonio Conte is desperate to sign a new central defender before the transfer window closes in just over a week’s time and has turned his attentions to Romagnoli after being priced out of the market for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
However, it could take an astronomical fee to convince Milan to part ways with the Italy Under-21 international, as they do not want to lose such an integral defender this summer.
In the last two Serie A campaigns only six players have completed more clearances than Romagnoli (189).
