La Galaxy eye audacious move for United star

LA Galaxy are prepared to offer Zlatan Ibrahimovic a way out of the Premier League after just one season, reports The Daily Mirror.

Ibrahimovic, 35, made a flying start to life at Manchester United but has struggled in recent months casting doubt over his long-term future at the club.

The Sweden international only signed a one-year deal with the club when he joined on a free from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer but there were suggestions of extending his stay beyond that at the start of the season.

However, a severe dip in form has thrown that into doubt and MLS giants LA Galaxy are now monitoring the situation with a view to offering him a lucrative move Stateside.

Steven Gerrard is expected to leave the Galaxy when his contract expires at the end of the season, which would free up one of their designated player spots allowing a move for Ibrahimovic. Bruce Arena’s side have also been linked with United veterans Wayne Rooney and Bastian Schweinsteiger.

Having scored four goals in his first five matches for United, Ibrahimovic has managed just one in his following 11 matches.
