Graziano Pelle has hinted he could leave Southampton when his contract runs out at the end of next season.
Pelle, 31, has become a hit on the south coast since joining from Feyenoord in July 2014.
However, the Italy international has revealed he misses his homeland sparking suggestions he could leave Southampton.
“My contract [at Southampton] expires in 18 months, one year after Euro 2016,” Pelle is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.
“Italy is the most beautiful country and it is that beauty which I’m missing.”
Pelle’s form in front of goal in the last three years has been of startling contrast to the rest of his early career and he is again proving an integral part to Southampton’s success this season.
Additionally, only four players are winning more aerial duels per game this season than Pelle (4.8).
