Liverpool have no interest in Manchester United midfielder
Liverpool are not interested in signing Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini this summer.
Fellaini is out of contract at the end of the season and looks destined to leave United after turning down their attempts to secure his long-term future.
Paris Saint-Germain, Monaco, Roma and Besiktas have all been linked with a move for the Belgium international but reports from France emerged over the weekend suggesting Liverpool were interested in making a shock move.
However, the Liverpool ECHO have now confirmed that Jurgen Klopp’s side have no interest in the 30-year-old and will not make a summer move.
Fellaini has endured a nightmare season with injuries after missing Saturday’s Manchester derby with a minor muscular problem.
The former Everton midfielder has only made three Premier League starts this season, forced to make a further 10 appearances as a substitute.
Despite such limited game time, Fellaini has scored three goals and won the WhoScored Man of the Match on two occasions this term.
