Bournemouth will ramp up their interest in Chelsea duo Nathan Ake and Asmir Begovic with a bid in excess of £30m for the pair this summer, claims The Guardian.
Ake spent the first half of the season on loan at Bournemouth before being recalled in January by Antonio Conte after thriving for the Cherries.
Eddie Howe’s side failed with a deadline day bid to re-sign Ake on a permanent deal in the winter transfer window and were also unsuccessful in securing Begovic’s services after Chelsea ran out of time to find a replacement for the Bosnian goalkeeper.
However, Bournemouth are now looking to kick on after impressively avoiding relegation in each of their first two seasons in the Premier League and are prepared to shatter their club transfer record in order to land the Chelsea duo.
Bournemouth broke their club transfer record when they shelled out £15m to sign Jordon Ibe from Liverpool last summer but are expected to table a bid in the region of £20m to sign Ake from Chelsea.
His impact in the Bournemouth first-team was unquestionable. The Cherries won 50% of their Premier League matches Ake started compared to just 27.6% without him.
