Bayern Munich are set to fend off competition from Chelsea for Bologna midfielder Amadou Diawara, according to Tuttosport.
Diawara, 18, has courted huge praise for his performances in the league this season and Pep Guardiola’s men are reportedly set to make a €10m (£7.6m) bid to acquire his services.
The Guinea midfielder has featured in 20 league games for Bologna this season and his form in the middle of the park has been pivotal to their impressive climb up the table.
In fact, of players aged 21 or under across Europe’s top five leagues this season, only three have completed more interceptions than Diawara (55).
