Diego Simeone does not intend to see out the rest of his contract at Atletico Madrid and plans to leave at the end of next season, according to Spanish newspaper El Confidencial, via 101 Great Goals.
The 46-year-old only signed a new five-year deal in May 2015 but there had been doubts over his future at the end of last season after losing in the Champions League final to Real Madrid for the second time in two years.
However, Simeone ignored reported interest from Paris Saint-Germain to remain at Atletico but the fiery Argentine only intends to see out the next two years of his contract before leaving.
Since becoming manager of Atletico in December 2011 Simeone has won 62.7% of his matches as manager.
