Pep Guardiola wants to renew his interest in Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci following Vincent Kompany’s latest injury set-back, reports The Daily Express.
Manchester City were heavily linked with a move for the Bonucci in the summer and the centre-back has already admitted to being tempted by the allure of Guardiola.
However, Kompany’s latest injury has reportedly caused Guardiola to re-think his transfer strategy with the City boss keen to land Bonucci at the next available moment.
Since August 2009 only three outfielders have completed more long balls in Serie A than Bonucci (1412).
