Kalinic refuses to train to force through Milan move

Nikola Kalinic is refusing to train with Fiorentina in a bid to accelerate a move through to AC Milan, reports Sky Italia, via Football Italia.

Milan have been in negotiations with their Serie A counterparts for most of the summer but have still not managed to agree on a fee for the former Blackburn striker.

The Viola want to receive the money in one lump sump rather than a spread payment structure that Milan are suggesting, which has grinded Kalinic’s transfer to a halt.

Fiorentina are also hoping to squeeze every last cent out of Milan and are using the fact Everton are offering €29m (£26.4m) as a reason to bump up the price for the Rossoneri.

However, Kalinic has no desire to return to the Premier League and only has his heart set on moving to Milan.

Fiorentina will fine Kalinic for refusing to turn up to training but the Croatia international believes he has to force through the move or risk being left at the club after the transfer window shuts.

Of the 34 players to score 15+ goals in the last two Serie A campaigns, Kalinic has the worst big chance conversion rate (31%).
