Torino striker Andrea Belotti will have a huge €94m (£79.7m) release clause inserted into his new deal to ward off potential interest from Europe’s biggest clubs, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, via Football Italia.
Belotti, 22, has been in sensational form for Torino this season and his performances in front of goal have even forced his way into the reckoning with the Italian national team, with whom he made his debut for in September.
The 22-year-old’s goalscoring exploits have under surprisingly peaked the interest of some of the biggest clubs in Europe, including those from the Premier League, but all admirers are set to be served a blow with the Torino striker poised to sign a new long-term deal.
Belotti already has four years remaining on his existing deal but he has reportedly agreed terms on an extra 12 months, but importantly, his new deal will reportedly include a release clause that would match the fee Juventus paid Napoli for Gonzalo Higuain in the summer.
No player has scored more goals in Serie A this season than Belotti (10), who has also registered three assists in his 11 league appearances thus far.
