Palmeiras have announced they have agreed a deal with Santos star Lucas Lima.
The 27-year-old’s current Santos deal is due to expire at the end of next month and he will join Palmeiras on a five-year deal starting from January.
Lima was heavily linked with a move to Barcelona during the summer before close friend Neymar joined Paris Saint-Germain.
Palmeiras failed to defend their Brasileirao title this season and Roger will hope the arrival of Lima will help fire them back to domestic glory next term.
Roger’s side are nine points adrift of Palmeiras going into the final weekend of the season, while Lima’s Santos are one point further back.
Despite only playing a direct hand in six goals in 27 league appearances this season, Lima has created at least nine more goalscoring chances than any other player in the division (82).
