MLS not interested in signing Chelsea defender

Clubs in Major League Soccer are not expected to offer John Terry a route to the States when his contract with Chelsea expires at the end of the season, reports ESPN.

Chelsea announced they would not be offering Terry an extension and he would be leaving the club after 22 years at the end of the season.

The 36-year-old is not interested in retiring and has been linked with a move to China and MLS in the past, but he may not find any suitors in America given his current salary demands.

West Brom are the frontrunners to sign Terry at the end of the season having been heavily linked with a move for the former England captain in January after dropping down the pecking order under Antonio Conte.

Terry has only started four Premier League games this season after losing his place in the team despite the fact Conte has changed formation to accommodate three centre-backs this season.
