Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc claims a move to sign Manchester United winger Angel di Maria is close to being completed.
Di Maria, 27, joined United for a British club-transfer record (£59.7m) last summer but has failed to settle and been linked with a move to the Ligue 1 champions all summer.
The Argentina international was due to meet his United teammates on their pre-season tour of the States at the weekend but failed to make his flight, to reasons unbeknown to Louis van Gaal.
“Manchester United and PSG are two big clubs and negotiations can be difficult, but we are close to the end,” Blanc is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News in the wake of their 2-0 victory over United on Thursday.
Despite his struggles, only Cesc Fabregas (160.6mins) required fewer minutes per assist in the Premier League last season than Di Maria (164.5mins).
