Former Liverpool star talks up possible Manchester United move

Barcelona midfielder and former Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho has issued a come and get me plea to Manchester United, reports the Sunday Mirror.

The Brazilian has struggled to fully settle in at Camp Not on the back of his dream big money move to Spain last January, with Liverpool pocketing £142m from his sale.

And Coutinho is believed to have talked with a number of United players over a possible £100m move to Old Trafford.

Coutinho favours a Premier League return, but a Liverpool switch is unlikely after protracted negotiations over his move to Barcelona dragged on as the relationship between both sides turned sour.

However, United would have to act swiftly if they are to land the 26-year-old with PSG keen on Coutinho.

The French side have been monitoring Coutinho since his move to Barcelona last year and would snap up the opportunity to secure his services should he become available.

Coutinho has made only 16 league starts for Barcelona this season, during which he has scored four goals and registered two assists to return a WhoScored rating of 6.97.
