City target committed to Ajax

Manchester City target Riechedly Bazoer insists he wants to see out his contract with Ajax until 2020.

Bazoer, 19, is one of the brightest talents emerging in the Eredivisie at the moment and he has been regularly mooted with a move to Barcelona and City since the start of the season.

The Netherlands international was reportedly the subject of Pep Guardiola’s visit to Amsterdam recently, in which the Bayern Munich boss is keen on making the Ajax midfielder one of his first signings this summer when he replaces Manuel Pellegrini at Manchester City.

However, Guardiola and other potential suitors may have to sound out alternative options after Bazoer committed his future to Ajax for the next four years.

“I prefer to stay [with Ajax] until 2020,” Bazoer told de Volkskrant, via AD.nl. “I have a contract until 2020 with Ajax. I play football every week and I am enjoying myself here immensely. So why are these stories [about a move away]?
