Roma looking to bring in second Manchester United outcast on loan

Roma are looking to secure the services of Manchester United outcast Alexis Sanchez on loan, reports Sky Sports Italia, via Goal.com.

The Chilean has endured a forgettable campaign with Inter, with an ankle injury sustained last year restricting the 31-year-old to just nine league outings.

United are eager to shift Sanchez off their wage books as the forward supposedly commands a weekly wage of around £350,000 a week.

As such, the Premier League side are struggling to find a potential suitor for Sanchez and are pondering sending the forward out on loan again next season.

While it remains to be seen whether Inter would be willing to keep him in Milan, Serie A rivals Roma are rumoured to have registered an interest in Sanchez.

Roma already have one United loanee on their books in the form of Chris Smalling, a player head coach Paulo Fonseca is hoping to keep at the Olimpico next term.

The Italian capital outfit are unlikely to pay 100% of his astronomical wages, but hope a deal can be struck that would keep Sanchez in Italy for another year at least.
