Tottenham midfielder links up with former Arsenal hero
Totteham have confirmed that Victor Wanyama has left the club for MLS side Montreal Impact.
The Impact, who are currently managed by former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry, secured a 2-1 victory over New England Revolution at the weekend to kick their 2020 MLS campaign off with a win.
Wanyama, who was linked with a return to Celtic late in the January transfer window, hasn't made a Premier League appearance since September and has registered just nine minutes of competitive action since Jose Mourinho's appointment in November, that coming in Spurs' 3-1 loss at Bayern Munich.
"We have reached agreement with Major League Soccer side Montreal Impact for the transfer of Victor Wanyama," a statement read on Tottenham's official website.
"The midfielder made 97 appearances for us in all competitions following his move from Southampton in June, 2016, and scored seven times, including the opening goal in our final game at White Hart Lane.
"We wish Victor well for the future."
Montreal Impact have confirmed that Wanyama has signed a three-year deal at that his move from Tottenham was a free transfer.
