Chelsea to reward Willian with bumper new deal

Chelsea are looking to reward Willian with a bumper new deal after fending off interest from Barcelona and Manchester United for his signature, claims The Sun.

Willian was heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge during the summer and has already revealed he would have forced through a move if former boss Antonio Conte remained at the club.

The Brazil international's relationship with Conte soured towards the end of the season to the point where Willian blanked the 49-year-old out of his FA Cup celebration picture on his official Instagram account.

Barcelona failed with three bids for the 29-year-old during the summer before eventually signing Malcom from Bordeaux, while United boss Jose Mourinho has been keen to reunite with Willian during the last two years.

Willian's current Chelsea deal is not due to expire until 2020 but the west London outfit are set to offer him a two-year extension with a wage hike.

Since joining Chelsea in 2013, only Eden Hazard (60) and Diego Costa (52) have scored more Premier League goals for the club than Willian (25).
