Which Chelsea player features in Europe’s top 5 leagues Worst XI of the season?
Chelsea were crowned Premier League champions less than six months ago and now they are in something of a crisis having taken just eight points from as many games. A number of the Chelsea players have looked a shadow of their former selves so far this season, with Branislav Ivanovic, Nemanja Matic, Eden Hazard and Gary Cahill all struggling to reproduce the kind of performances that allowed Jose Mourinho’s side to canter to their first league title in five years last term.
However, it is the Chelsea captain, John Terry, who has struggled most. The former England skipper was regarded as one of the best defenders in the league last season and there had been suggestions, albeit optimistic ones, to have him return to the national setup.
The 34-year-old, who has entered the final 12 months of his current deal, was one of just two outfielders to feature in every single minute of league action last term, but after just eight league games he has already missed 350 minutes of action after being casted to the sidelines following a severe slump in form.
In fact, Terry’s form in the early parts of the new season has been so poor that it’s earned him a spot in Europe’s top five leagues worst team of the season (6.07). Mourinho will be hoping the international break can prove a moment of respite for his players as they look to solve the problems behind their dire form, but there have been no more calls for Terry to play for England again.
The veteran midfielder’s collapse has been the severest of all of Chelsea players. Terry was averaging a WhoScored rating of 7.03 last season, compared to just 6.07 now.

J. Terry should consider the MLS move, like Lampard and Gerrard.
5.72 is so good for Tyton, this guy will relegate VFB alone...
