According to Italian media outlet Calcio Mercato, Inter are looking to make an audacious swoop for two of Tottenham's star defenders as the Nerazzurri plan for a big summer of spending.
Toby Alderweireld has been identified as a target having rejected an offer of a contract extension from Spurs, while Kyle Walker is also being lined up for a shock potential bid.
The Premier League title hopefuls will no doubt be desperate to keep hold of the pair, who have emerged as two of the club's strongest performers over the past two seasons, so it would take all of Inter's renewed financial muscle to force any sale.
The reports suggest that the Belgian could be open to a move to Italy to chance his arm in another country, though the 28-year old is very much a fan favourite at White Hart Lane and may be tempted to stay for another year as the club establish themselves as a real force in England.
Inter would certainly be all the better for the capture of either player, with all six of the sides currently above them in Serie A having conceded fewer goals than Stefano Pioli's men (37).
